The first Monetary Museum of Pakistan was established in 2004 at the Ibrahim Ismail Chundrigar Road location of the State Bank of Pakistan Museum & Art Gallery. The current State Bank of Pakistan Museum & Art Gallery building, (formerly the Imperial Bank of India), is a Greco Roman edifice in Jodhpuri Red Sandstone erected in the 1920s by the British.

The Coins Gallery displays the techniques with some original dies of coin making in Pakistan Mint, also include some old machines, the process of coin making along some tools, and a documentary covering the whole process of coin minting in Pakistan Mint. The Coin Gallery is divided into two parts, Pre-Islamic Gallery and Islamic Gallery till to the Present-Day period Coinage.
The Pre Islamic Gallery exhibition starting from barter system, seals used as coins by Indus valley people, punch-marked coinsdated from 6th century B.C. The pre–Islamic Gallery also displays some uncommon bar copper and silver coins, Indo Greeks including an uncommon bronze coin of Alexander the Great and several other unique coins, Indo Scythians, Indo Parthian, Kushans, Guptas, Indo Sassanians, Hindu Shahis.
The Islamic Gallery exhibition starts from the coinage of Arab Governors of Sindh, some uncommon Sultanate coins, Mughal coins, later Mughals, British Indian, and then coinage after 1947.
The Currency Gallery gives an overview of the origin of paper currency in the sub-continent, from early paper issues to polymer banknotes. The gallery of the museum displaying the history of Currency Notes in Pakistan and also includes the collection of historical, current and polymer banknotes of different countries around the world. The Currency Gallery includes the complete collection of Pakistani banknotes since its origination (1947–present). The museum has various items of pre independence or post-independence, furthermore it gives an image to the past in terms financial and economic factors of the subcontinental countries, with 7 galleries, each showing unique collection of items.
اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان میوزیم اینڈ آرٹ گیلری کراچی میں ابراہیم اسماعیل چندریگر روڈ پر واقع ایک میوزیم ہے جو 2004 میں پاکستان کا پہلا مانیٹری میوزیم متعارف کرانے کے لیے قائم کیا گیا تھا۔ موجودہ اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان میوزیم اور آرٹ گیلری کی عمارت، (پہلے امپیریل بینک آف انڈیا)، جودھپوری ریڈ سینڈ اسٹون میں ایک گریکو رومن عمارت ہے جسے انگریزوں نے 1920 کی دہائی میں تعمیر کیا تھا۔
سکے گیلری پاکستان منٹ میں سکے بنانے کی کچھ اصل ڈیز کے ساتھ تکنیکوں کو دکھاتی ہے، جس میں کچھ پرانی مشینیں، کچھ ٹولز کے ساتھ سکے بنانے کا عمل، اور پاکستان منٹ میں سکے بنانے کے پورے عمل کا احاطہ کرنے والی ایک دستاویزی فلم بھی شامل ہے۔ سکے گیلری کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کیا گیا ہے، قبل از اسلام گیلری اور اسلامی گیلری تا حال کے دور کے سکےیج۔
پری اسلامک گیلری کی نمائش بارٹر سسٹم سے شروع ہوتی ہے، وادی سندھ کے لوگوں کی طرف سے سکوں کے طور پر استعمال ہونے والی مہریں، چھٹے صدی قبل مسیح کے سکوں پر پنچ کے نشان والے قبل از اسلام گیلری میں کچھ غیر معمولی بار تانبے اور چاندی کے سکے بھی دکھائے گئے ہیں، انڈو یونانی جن میں سکندر اعظم کا ایک غیر معمولی کانسی کا سکہ اور کئی دوسرے منفرد سکے، انڈو سائتھین، انڈو پارتھین، کشان، گپتا، انڈو ساسانی، ہندو شاہی شامل ہیں۔ اسلامی گیلری کی نمائش سندھ کے عرب گورنروں کے سکے، کچھ غیر معمولی سلطنتی سکے، مغل سکے، بعد میں مغل، برطانوی ہندوستانی، اور پھر 1947 کے بعد کے سکے سے شروع ہوتی ہے۔
کرنسی گیلری برصغیر میں کاغذی کرنسی کی ابتدا کا ایک جائزہ پیش کرتی ہے، ابتدائی کاغذی مسائل سے لے کر پولیمر بینک نوٹ تک۔ میوزیم کی گیلری جس میں پاکستان میں کرنسی نوٹوں کی تاریخ دکھائی گئی ہے اور اس میں دنیا بھر کے مختلف ممالک کے تاریخی، موجودہ اور پولیمر بینک نوٹوں کا مجموعہ بھی شامل ہے۔ کرنسی گیلری میں اس کی ابتدا (1947) سے لے کر اب تک پاکستانی بینک نوٹوں کا مکمل ذخیرہ شامل ہے۔ میوزیم میں آزادی سے پہلے یا آزادی کے بعد کی مختلف اشیاء موجود ہیں، مزید یہ کہ یہ برصغیر کے ممالک کے مالی اور اقتصادی عوامل کے لحاظ سے ماضی کی تصویر پیش کرتا ہے، 7 گیلریوں کے ساتھ، ہر ایک آئٹمز کا منفرد مجموعہ دکھا رہی ہے۔
